I'm participating in Teal to Heal Cape Breton, a run/walk in support of ovarian cancer and other gynaecological cancers.

Twenty years ago I battled a late stage gynaecological cancer (which took over a year to diagnose because it was considered “female problems”) and an organization like “Teal to Heal” would have been amazing. Well, 20 years later, I am battling Cancer again. Travel and accommodations can get expensive for any of us and I was surprised how much support I have been getting through organizations like this to cover those costs. I’m thrilled to have my wonderful daughter putting this team together and am so grateful to be here to participate alongside her and our other teammates !
