Being a nurse is more than just my job; it’s who I am. Every day, I care for people at their most vulnerable, and it has become my deepest passion to be a voice for those fighting this specific battle. I want to use my hands and my heart to make sure people are aware, listened to, and cared for before it’s too late. I want to help fund the research that will give other families the answers and the time that mine didn't always have.

I am doing this to wrap my arms around those who are in the middle of their fight right now, you are so brave, and you are not alone.

And, I am doing this to honour the beautiful souls we have lost and to family members and the patients who have left us too soon: I promise to keep sharing your stories. You are the reason I am so determined to make a difference.
