Hi friends,
I'm participating in Teal to Heal Cape Breton, a run/walk in support of ovarian cancer and other gynaecological cancers.
I have personally had a close call with gynaecological cancer. Thanks to early screening I was able to be treated promptly and avoid a cancer diagnosis. i have lost an Aunt to gynaecological cancer and have cared for many women in our community while they were navigating a cancer diagnosis and treatment in my time working in women's health.
The need is real and these cancers impact the lives of many women and their loved ones in Cape Breton and beyond every day.
