Teal to Heal Cape Breton is a run/walk in support of ovarian cancer and other gynecological cancers.
This year I am participating on behalf of my childhood best friend and the founder of the event, Dena Edwards Wadden, who had been diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2021. Through her experience, she noticed the stressors and financial barriers individuals with gynecological cancers face in Cape Breton. Dena knew something needed to change in our community, and thus, Teal to Heal was born.
